Gina Gleason
Gina Gleason is an American musician born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is the current lead guitarist for Baroness, replacing Pete Adams. [1]
As a part of the Cirque du Soleil creation cast, Gleason played lead guitar and performed as the character “The Muse” in the production of Michael Jackson: One by Cirque du Soleil at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas (2012-2017) .[2][3][4]
Gleason co-composed original works for the 2016 Cirque du Soleil production of One Night For One Drop. The production was held live at The Smith Center as well as in theaters and IMAX nationwide.[5]
She fronted and played lead guitar for Misstallica, (all female tribute to Metallica) (2008-2012) and lead guitar for Queen Diamond (2008-2011) (all female tribute to King Diamond).
She has performed, toured or worked with the following:
- The Smashing Pumpkins: Sitting in with the band at The Joint Las Vegas (2015) and opened for the band at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas (2014).
- Carlos Santana: Sitting in with Carlos at House of Blues Las Vegas (2013).
- Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction): Lollapalooza/The Roxy (2009).
- Brendon Small (Dethklok): East Coast tour (2009).
- Denny Walley and Napoleon Murphy Brock (Frank Zappa): Zappanale Festival Germany (2009).
- Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Steve Vai) (2009).
- Jon Anderson (Yes): east coast tour (2007) and NAMM festival (2008).
- Dr. Know (Bad Brains) (2008).
- Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) (2007).
In 2010 she collaborated with The Good Listeners playing lead guitar and upright bass on the song “Never Good Enough” for the documentary “Don’t Quit Your Daydream”.[6]
Gleason has performed on/written/co-written numerous studio albums, EPs and scores with various artists.
