Gholamreza Ansari (Persian: غلامرضا انصاﺭی, born October 24, 1956)[1] an Iranian diplomat. He was elected as a member of Tehran City Council in 2013 local elections. Ansari is a former ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation.[2] a position he held from June 2005[3] to 2 October 2008.[4] From May 1999 to October 2000, Ansari was the Iranian ambassador to the United Kingdom.[3]
