Ghazipur City Railway Station(GCT) is largest and most important railway station of Ghazipur district. The station is situated 2 km north of Civil lines area, in the city of Ghazipur. [1][2][3][4][5][6]

The station lies in the North Eastern Railway Zone, Gorakhpur under Varanasi division. The station is directly connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Patna junction ,Lucknow, Amritsar, Jabalpur, Guwahati Kolkata ,New Jalpaiguri and other major & important cities by routine trains and the coming year Ghazipur Railway Station Will Be strategically more important. Currently it has single line railway route and coming year GCT will have double line Railway Route with electrification of Allahabad Jn-Varanasi Jn-Ghazipur City-Chhapra Jn Rail Route. And a New Rail line From Mau Jn to Tarighat Station Via- Ghazipur City Station and river bridge on ganga river.
