Gerry Hassan (born 1964)[1] is a Scottish writer, commentator and academic. He was a research fellow in cultural policy at the University of the West of Scotland,[2] where he completed his doctorate.[3] He is an associate for Demos[4] and OpenDemocracy.[5] He has written widely in the Scottish and UK press, including The Scotsman, The Herald, Holyrood, Sunday Mail and The Guardian on topics and issues related to the United Kingdom, particularly Scotland.[2]
