George Washington Moon (1823 – 1909) was an English writer of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. He published several poems, contributed to the Dictionary of National Biography, and wrote a number of books on the grammar of the English language. Several of these books were lengthy compilations of the purported grammatical errors of specific writers,[1] which led to vigorous counterattacks and controversies.[2]
George Washington Moon is the author of lengthy epic poem Elijah the Prophet. It was written in Spenserian stanza, a nine-line strophe rhymed ababbcbcc.[3][4]
