George R. Edwards was an American football and basketball coach in the United States. He coached two non-consecutive seasons at Kansas Wesleyan.
Coaching career
Edwards was the fourth head football coach for the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes located in Salina, Kansas and he held that position for two seasons, in 1914 and again in 1917. His coaching record at Kansas Wesleyan was 4 wins, 11 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2009 season, this ranks him 14th at Kansas Wesleyan in total wins and 15th at the school in winning percentage (.267).[1]
