Geoff Hudson

Geoffrey Alan Hudson (born 14 October 1931) is an English former professional footballer. Born in Leeds, he played for Bradford Park Avenue, Bradford City, Halifax Town, Exeter City, Crewe Alexandra, Gillingham, Lincoln City and Rotherham United between 1950 and 1967.[1]

Coaching career

Hudson was appointed coach of Ugandan club Sports Club Villa in 1988 and in his first Season led them to their first Uganda League and Cup double, a feat he repeated in 1989. He fell short of winning a third successive double, only winning the League in 1990. In his last season, 1991, he guided them to the finals of the African Champions League, losing to Tunisian side Club Africain. He is considered the most successful foreign coach of a Ugandan club.
