There is one K-5 elementary school in the Genoa Area School District, Genoa Area Local Elementary School. This school was opened in the 2011-2012 school year replacing former elementary schools Brunner Elementary and Allen Elementary. Allen was closed and razed following the 2010-2011 school year while Brunner was closed and sold off. There is one middle school, named after former football coach, principal, and board president, John C. Roberts. All three schools, Genoa Area Local Elementary School, John C.
