Gavin Brian Lovegrove (born 21 October 1967 in Hamilton, New Zealand) is a former javelin thrower from New Zealand, who twice represented his native country at the Summer Olympics, (Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996). He won a bronze medal at three consecutive Commonwealth Games: in 1986 (Edinburgh), 1990 (Auckland) and 1994 (Victoria). Lovegrove also participated in 5 World Track and Field Championships: 1987 (Rome), 1991 (Tokyo - 4th place), 1993 (Stuttgart), 1995 (Gottenberg) and 1997 (Athens).

Lovegrove was also a former world junior record holder (76.68m) Athens, Greece 1986 and (79.58m) Noumea, New Caledonia 1986. A six-time national champion, Lovegrove now works as a web developer in Hamilton at the University of Waikato.
