Gary Shoefield
Gary Shoefield is a television and film producer and entertainment entrepreneur, specializing in rights acquisition.
Shoefield was portrayed in the 2006 film 'Alien Autopsy' by Ant McPartlin having been involved with the now famous footage from the very beginning with business partner and friend Ray Santilli.
Career
Shoefield has had success in publishing via his book company, Luke Books (named after his son). He was also involved in various roles with children's television favourites, such as Pinky and Perky, Tales of the Riverbank and The Magic Roundabout.
In 1990 he collaborated with the F.A.B. group which had a few hits by sampling movie dialogues to electronic music. They are best known for Thunderbirds Are Go which reached No. 5 in the UK Top 40.[1]
For a time he also managed television actor Patrick McGoohan. He has also worked with Britain's top Psychic Derek Acorah, having launched him on TV in the UK.
Shoefield has worked for Arista Records, Disney, Warner Bros., PolyGram, EMI and ITV.[2] More recently, he was Director of Programming for Granada Sky Broadcasting, where he was responsible for the success of the men's lifestyle television channel Men & Motors and was also responsible for the programming output of satellite channel Granada Plus. He has also produced a range of programs from biographies to documentaries and late night programming.
More Recently he has become one the leading experts in the Hologram field having signed the Digital resurrection rights to Hologram USA for many major stars, including Whitney Houston, Liberace, Nat King Cole and Buddy Holly.
Personal life
Shoefield now lives in Los Angeles. Luke Brandon Field, his son, is an actor having appeared in several films with more in production (see imdb)
