Gal Uchovsky (Hebrew: גל אוחובסקי; born in Hadera, Israel in 1958) is an Israeli screenwriter, producer, journalist, activist and Israeli TV personality.

In 1982, Uchovsky started his journalistic career in various Israeli newspapers. In 1988, he met his current partner, Israeli film director Eytan Fox. From then they partnered in films where Uchovsky was a screenwriter and producer of many Fox films, including gay-oriented films the multiple award meaning Yossi & Jagger and ''Walk on Water.

He was judge on the Israeli music reality competition Kokhav Nolad for five consecutive seasons (seasons 4 to 8).

Uchovsky won "Best Screenwriter" award at the Durban International Film Festival for the film The Bubble.

Personal life

Uchovsky is openly gay and Eytan Fox is his long-time partner.[1][2] Uchovsky is an activist committed to the LGBT movement. He is a co-founder and president of Israel Gay Youth. Uchovsky also takes an active role in Tel Aviv Pride Parade. He co-hosted the first-ever Miss Trans Israel in 2016. He controversially outed Harel Skaat, the winner of season two of Kokhav Nolad.
