Gahunje is a village in India. It is situated in Mawal taluka of Pune District in the state of Maharashtra.[1][2]
Gahunje is fast becoming an upmarket residential suburb of Pune. High end luxury residential projects like Lodha Belmondo and MCA cricket stadium, Symbiosis Skills and Open University dot the landscape of Gahunje. Situated midway between Pune (touching PCMC boundary) and Lonavala, its fast emerging as an ideal location for working people in and around PCMC, Hinjewadi and those looking for a quick gateway to Sahyadri. Many Mumbaikars are choosing Gahunje than Lonavala as their weekend destination given its proximity to both Pune and Mumbai. Those frequently travelling to and from Mumbai airport find it convenient location than travelling from eastern suburbs of the Pune city.
The proposed Pune Ring Road is planned to pass at a short distance from Gahunje.
