Gabriela Rosa

Gabriela Rosa (born October 12, 1966) was an American politician.

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Rosa received her bachelor's degrees in marketing and business from Universidad Herman Henrique Ureña and Instituto Tecnólogico de Santo Domingo. In 1994, Rosa emigrated to the United States and settled in New York City. She was involved in the retail industry in Manhattan. In 2005, Rosa became an United States citizen. From 2013 to June 27, 2014, Rosa served in the New York State Assembly and was a Democrat. In 2014, Rosa pleaded guilty in United States District Court for lying about a sham marriage in order to become an United States citizen and for failing to disclose about income and assets on a bankruptcy filing in 2011.^[1][2]
