GT Racing: Motor Academy is a racing video game series developed and published by Gameloft for Symbian, iOS and Android. It was originally released in 2009 as mobile game for Symbian, and in 2010 for iOS, Android and Symbian ^3. Some cars that featured in this game were based on the cars in Asphalt racing game series. To start this game, there is a license and default car, C-class Citroen C3 Picasso.

Gameplay

GT Racing's gameplay is very similar to games in the Asphalt series, with the player given the option of either tilting the device or touching the side of the screen to steer. The game also has a single-player mode, online multiplayer mode, both local through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and global through an internet connection.

Cars

Cars in this game are similar to Asphalt 5 and Asphalt 6 and divided into four classes, C-class (example: Mazda 2), B-class (example: Renault Megane RS ), A-class (example: Nissan GTR) and S-class (example: Audi R10 TDI). Each update in this game adds new cars to the game.

Releases

The Hyundai edition was released in September 2012 for Android only. Latest updated release for iOS is Red Bull edition on November 29, 2012. As of 2016, Gameloft has not updated this game anymore, and it was removed from the App Store and Google Play Store.

Sequel

GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience was announced by Gameloft in September 18, 2013. It was released on iOS and Android on November 16, 2013 and on the Windows 8/RT and Windows Phone 8 Operating Systems on June 19, 2014.

The sequel contains 84 cars, down from the 119 in the first game and also add new tracks. Most of the cars in the sequel are new in the series.
