History

Beginning in January 2017, the Global Premier Soccer (GPS) family in Puerto Rico would continue to grow with two clubs joining the family of GPS Puerto Rico. Clubs Eleven FC de Dorado and Villa Andalucía FC would be merging into GPS Puerto Rico.[1]

2017 season

The team played its first official game on February 10, 2017, with a 2-3 come from behind victory over Guayama FC. The first goal in franchise history was scored by Jose "Picu" Rodríguez. The GPS Puerto Rico superior team had its first official pre-season cup match on February 7, 2017, against the Puerto Rico Soccer League champion, the Metropolitan Football Academy, beating them 3-0. Jofren Santos, Kevin Hernandez, and José "Picu" Rodríguez each scored a goal in the game. On February 26, GPS Puerto Rico lost in the 2017 Don Bosco Cup finals to Don Bosco FC, 2-1.[2]

The Puerto Rico Global Premier Soccer (GPS) will make its debut in the Puerto Rico Soccer League (PRSL) Excellence Cup III this April.[3]
