GM Vietnam Motor Company (former Vietnam-Daewoo Motor Company Limited or VIDAMCO) is an automobile manufacturer based in Vietnam and a subsidiary of the GM Korea Company.

The company was officially established in December 1993 as a joint-venture between the Korean Daewoo Motor Corporation and the 7983 Mechanic Union Enterprise that was owned by the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense.[1]

In April 2000, the company has become a 100% foreign investment enterprise after Daewoo Motor acquired the share of its Vietnamese partner. In July 2011, the name of the company was changed from VIDAMCO to GM Vietnam.[1]
