George Taylor (botanist)

Sir George Taylor, FRS[1] FRSE FLS (15 February 1904, in Edinburgh – 13 November 1993, in Dunbar) was a Scottish botanist.

He graduated from Cambridge University with a BSc in Biology in 1928 and was Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew from 1956 to 1971. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1968.[1][2][3]
