Güznüt (also, Gyuznyut, Kuznut, and Kyuznut) is a village and municipality in the Babek Rayon of Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan. The village is located on the plain, 10 km away from the center of the region, at the left side of the Nakhchivan-Julfa highway. It is located in the left side of the Nakhchivan-Julfa highway, 10 km from the district center, on the plain. Its population is busy with grain-growing and animal husbandry. There are secondary school, club, mosque and a medical center in the village. It has a population of 1,563.[1]

Etymology

In the Nakhchivan dialect, Güznüt means "autumn sowing". The village was named because of the autumn sowing which is carried out in this area.[2]
