Fulda American High School
Fulda American High School (FAHS) was a Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) system school located on what Downs Barracks in Fulda, located in Hesse, Germany. Fulda American High School served the children of American military, government and civilian personnel from 1983 until its closing in 1994. The school's colors were blue and white and the school was known as the “Fulda Falcons”. With the redeployment of US forces in response to the Gulf War and closing of bases in Germany following the Cold War and German reunification, the school closed following the 1993-94 school year. Downs Barracks was then returned to the German Federal government.
The football coach for the Falcons, Marcus George, has won more football games than any other coach in DoDDS history.[1]
