Frederick[1] will be a stop on the Region of Waterloo's Ion rapid transit system. It will be located in the median of Frederick Street, just east of King Street, in downtown Kitchener. It is scheduled to open in 2018.
The station will serve northbound trains only; the nearest southbound platform will be at Queen station, about 150m away down Benton and Charles streets.
Destinations served include the Market Square shopping and office complex, the regional courthouse, and THEMUSEUM.
