Frederick "Fred" Leonard Roffey (born 14 April 1895 — date of death unknown), birth was registered in Godstone district of Surrey, England, was a Welsh professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s, playing at representative level for Wales, and at club level for Wigan, and St. Helens, as a prop, Hooker, Second-row, or loose forward/lock, i.e. number 8 or 10, 9, 11 or 12, or 13, during the era of contested scrums.[1][2]

Frederick Roffey won 2 caps for Wales in 1921–1926 while at Wigan, and St. Helens.[3]

County Cup Final appearances

Frederick Roffey played loose forward/lock in Wigan's 20-2 victory over Leigh in the 1922 Lancashire County Cup Final during the 1922–23 season at The Willows, Salford on Saturday 25 November 1922,[4] and played right-second-row, i.e. number 12, in St. Helens' 10-2 victory over St Helens Recs in the 1926 Lancashire County Cup Final during the 1926–27 season at Wilderspool Stadium, Warrington on Saturday 20 November 1926.
