Frank A. Russell

Frank A. Russell Frank Russell is the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Prositions, Inc. He heads the Board of Directors and is responsible for the strategic vision and direction of the company. Frank has over 30 years of human resource management experience. He is also a serial entrepreneur having started three other companies in the HR space.[1] [2]

History

Prior to starting Prositions, Frank was Founder and CEO of GeoLearning, Inc. Geo was the largest SaaS-based learning and performance management company in the industry. Prior to founding GeoLearning, he was President and Founder of Excellence in Training Corporation, a leading producer and distributor of video-based training.

Frank has extensive experience in the human resource technology field. He did research at the Center for Advanced Computation at the University of Illinois where the first Internet browser was invented. He worked for Control Data Corporation in the late 1970s with the Plato System, which was the first commercially viable CBT authoring system. He has also been the director of training for a Fortune 500 company and State Training Administrator for the State of Iowa.

Frank’s companies have been recognized with numerous awards, including ranking on the Inc. 500/5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies for seven consecutive years (2004-2010), six years on the Software 500 list (2005-2010), ” Product of the Year” from HR Executive Magazine and several American Business Awards (including “Most Innovative Company”).

Frank himself was named CEO of the Year at the 2009 Prometheus Awards sponsored by the Technology Association of Iowa. He was voted to Training Industry’s 2007 list of the “Most Influential Training Professionals” by his peers in the industry and was named the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Des Moines Business Record. In 2005, Frank received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Business Services category for the Central Midwest Region and was named Small Business Person of the Year for the State of Iowa by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Russell received his master's degree from the University of Illinois and his bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University.
