Fox Chapel Country Day School is an Independent nonsectarian coeducational primary day school located in Fox Chapel outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1947 as a nursery and kindergarten[1] by a group of parents in an agreement with the Fox Chapel Community Church, the school opened in 1948 as the Fox Chapel Community Church Nursery School.[4] In present day the school, no longer formally affiliated with the Fox Chapel Episcopal Church, offers pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first through fifth grades on a heavily wooded campus in the Fox Chapel parkland near Shady Side Academy and the Pittsburgh Field Club. The school is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.
