The 2018 Florida Chief Financial Officer election will take place on November 6, 2018. Incumbent Republican Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third consecutive term.
Atwater has been named vice president of strategic initiatives and chief financial officer of Florida Atlantic University and will be resigning effective June 30, 2017.[1][2] Public Service Commissioner and former State Representative Jimmy Patronis has been appointed to serve the remainder of the term.[3] Patronis has not yet announced whether he will run for a full term in 2018.
