Flora Duffy (born 30 September 1987) is a triathlete who competes internationally for Bermuda. She is the 2016 ITU World Triathlon Series World Champion[2][3] the 2016 and 2015 ITU Cross Triathlon World Champion, and the winner of 2014, 2015 and 2016 XTERRA World Championships.[4][5] She participated on Bermuda's behalf at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.[6] In addition to her 2015 win Duffy placed second at the 2014 ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships.
Duffy holds the record for the widest winning margin in a sprint race, winning by a margin of 31 seconds in Hamburg, Germany in July 2017. [7]
Duffy won 2017 sprint triathlon in Edmonton, Canada by a winning margin of 58 seconds from Taylor Knibb.
Duffy was educated at Warwick Academy,[8] Kelly College, now known as Mount Kelly in Tavistock, Devon and the University of Colorado Boulder, where she graduated with a BA in Sociology.[9] Duffy was diagnosed as anaemic in 2013.[1]
