Fifteen (confection)

Fifteens are sweet treats and a cultural icon across Ulster and have regional variations in Leinster and other parts of Ireland. The simplicity of the recipe has created an enormous community of Fifteen enthusiasts who propose modifications to the recipe. These people hang out in online chat channels and where they chat strategy for how to modify the recipe and baking instructions. Fifteens are a popular traybake in Northern Ireland. The name is supposed to come from the amount of each ingredient used in the recipe.
