The Fiat Argo is a subcompact car by Italian manufacturer Fiat, developed for the South American market. It was presented in Brazil in May 2017, with sales expected to start in June. It is a five-door hatchback that will replace the Fiat Palio and Fiat Punto, which will be discontinued. A sedan version is also planned, to replace the Grand Siena and the Linea. A launch date for the sedan has not yet been set.[1]

It is unclear if the Argo name will also be used in Europe. The current Punto has been on the market for twelve years and sales are declining. The Argo was presented a year later than planned and is needed to strengthen Fiats offering in the subcompact (B) segment, traditionally an important one for Fiat.[2]
