Ferromonte Junction

Detail of the CNJ junctions near Succasunna

Ferromonte Junction is a railroad junction located in the Kenvil section of Roxbury Township, New Jersey. It was originally formed by the crossing at grade of the Central Railroad of New Jersey's High Bridge Branch (former Long Valley Railroad) with the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad's Chester Branch (former Chester Railroad) and the connection to the Ferromonte Railroad. When the High Bridge Branch was abandoned east of the junction in the early 1980s, a switch was cut in to connect the western portion to the Chester Branch to replace the diamond crossover, and both lines are now operated by the Morristown and Erie Railway.[1]
