Fateh Hyderabad Associated Football Club, also known as Fateh Hyderabad Football Club, is an Indian football club based in Hyderabad, Telangana. It was founded in 2015.

The newly founded Fateh Hyderabad AFC made their debut in 2nd Division I League in 2015.

The club is owned by Yogesh Maurya and Aditya Narayanan, who had studied together at Wharton Business School. They officially launched the club on 4 September at Park Hyatt Hyderabad. Its infrastructure for training and player accommodation is situated at Gundlapochampalli, which is located in the outskirts of the city. Yogesh Maurya is also a part of the coaching staff and attended AIFF's AFC 'B' Coaching Licence Course in Goa in September 2015 to improve his understanding of the game.

In February 2017, the club announced a joint venture with Premier Education Group of the UK which will teach physical education in schools throughout Hyderabad.

History

I-League 2nd division

Fateh Hyderabad played in 2015–16 I-League 2nd Division and were placed in Group A, but were placed the last in the group stage.

The team followed up with an improved 2nd season in 2016-2017 which saw the team top their group in the qualifying round and finish 4th in the final round. Notable achievements for the season include the most clean sheets kept in the 2nd division. The team also saw it's Captain, defender Gurtej Singh drafted by ISL team FC Pune City, defender Abdul Hakku drafted by ISL team Northeast United, and Goalkeeper Kunzang Bhutia drafted by by ISL team ATK (Kolkata).

Fateh Hyderabad also has young midfielder Tao Shaiza who after debuting for Fateh as a 16 year old now plays for the U19 National Team.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, formerly known as Fateh Maidan, is a football and cricket stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana.[2] The stadium was renamed in 1967 in memory of Lal Bahadur Shastri, India's former Prime Minister. The stadium is situated behind the police control room, between the Nizam College and Public Gardens in Hyderabad. It is the venue for many national and international sporting events, especially football and cricket.
