FastWeb

Fastweb is an online scholarship matching and college search service. Founded by Internet pioneer Larry Organ[1] in 1995, Fastweb is an acronym for Financial aid search through the web. In 2001, Monster Worldwide, which also owns other websites such as FinAid.com and Military.com, announced that it had acquired Fastweb in an effort to reach into higher education oriented sites.[2]

Reception

Though popularly touted among lists of scholarship search tools,[3] Fastweb has received mixed to negative reviews from NAAS Consumer News[4] and from multiple other reviewers,[5] e.g., CBS News Money Watch[6]
