Farida Bedwei
Farida Nana Efua Bedwei is a Ghanaian software engineer.[1]
Early life
Farida was born April 6, 1979, in Lagos, Nigeria she spent her early childhood life in Dominica, Grenada and the U.K.. Her family moved to Ghana when she was 9 years old.[1]
At 10 days old Farida developed cerebral palsy from Rhesus incompatibility of her parents Cerebral Palsy hence was home schooled by her mother until she turned 12.[1] ref Farida's mother
Education
Farida obtained her bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom from 2004 to 2005. She later acquired a certificate in Project Management in 2009 from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in Ghana [2]
Works
She has written a novel titled: Definition of a miracle.[3] She has also created the gKudi micro-finance platform, a clouded banking system that allows small scale loans within Ghana.[4]
