Fantasea II: The Second Wave is the upcoming sophomore album by American rapper Azealia Banks and the sequel to Fantasea. It is due to be released in the summer of 2017.[1][2] It will be the first studio album released under Banks' record label, Chaos & Glory Recordings, following her departure from Global Records.
Background
After the release of Fantasea, Banks expressed interest in releasing a follow-up mixtape. The album was originally to be conceived as a mixtape, but in a 2017 interview with XXL Magazine, Banks confirmed it will be a full studio album. On February 17, 2017, Banks released the first promotional single, "Crown", to SoundCloud. The track was later re-released on iTunes and other online music stores on July 12, 2017, along with her second mixtape, Slay-Z.[3] On June 26, 2017, Banks released the second promotional single for the album, "Escapades".[4]
