Faizan S. Syed
Background and education
Faizan S. Syed was born in Karachi, Pakistan. He is the grandson of the notable philosopher and educationist Dr. Manzoor Ahmad. Faizan attended Karachi Grammar School, through high school and subsequently moved to the United States to attend the University of Virginia. Faizan went on to complete his MBA in Finance at The Johnson School at Cornell University [1] where he was selected to be a Park Leadership Fellow.
Career
Faizan spent his initial career at General Motors. Post MBA, he worked as an investment banker for Barclays Capital (formerly Lehman Brothers), covering the auto sector.[1]
In 2011, he relocated back to Pakistan to serve as the CEO of Health Television,[2] which is a part of Ziauddin Group. HTV was featured by BBC for its proper execution of a show on topics considered taboo in Pakistan.[3][4]
