Fabrizio Frizzi (born 5 February 1958) is an Italian television presenter.

Life and career

Born in Rome, Frizzi began his career in 1980, chosen through audition to host the children's programme Il barattolo.[1][2]

He later hosted several successful TV-programmes, including the Saturday night show I fatti vostri, Scommettiamo che...?, Domenica in and several editions of Miss Italia.[1][2]In April 2014, Frizzi became the third host of the Italian game show L'eredità, replacing the departing Carlo Conti. The pair then co-hosted the show from there on out until October 2016, when Frizzi became solo presenter. In 2015, he was appointed Commendatore della Repubblica by President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano.[3]

He is also the official Italian voice of Woody the Cowboy, one of the main characters in Pixar's famous Toy Story franchise. In 2018 he will co-present the Sanremo Music Festival with Paolo Bonolis and Amadeus replacing Carlo Conti.

Frizzi was previously married to fellow television presenter Rita Dalla Chiesa, ten years his senior. He later married his second wife, the nearly 25 years younger TV presenter Carlotta Mantovan, whom he had known during the 2001 selections of Miss Italia.[1]
