The FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship, previously known as FIBA Europe Championship for Cadets, is a basketball competition inaugurated in 1971. Until 2003, it was held every second year, but from 2003 onwards, it is held every year. The current champions are Spain.

- FIBA considers the results of the Soviet Union (up to 1991) and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (up to 1992) to be different from modern countries.
- Serbia is the successor of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1992–2003) and of Serbia and Montenegro (2003–2006).
- Germany is the successor of West Germany (1949–1990).
