The F.G. Intermediate College Jhelum Cantt is an educational institution in the city of Jhelum, Punjab province, Pakistan. It is located near St. John's Church in Gul Afshan Colony in the Jhelum Cantonment. The college was founded in August 2001 in the building of the FG Public School for Boys through the efforts of Major General Masood Aslam, who was the commander of the 23rd Infantry Division of the Pakistan Army at the time. The college offers intermediate-level courses[1] in pre-engineering, pre-medical and computer science.

History

 The college building was constructed in year 2002 and then classes shifted to it in the same year. First batch was 2001-03. The pioneers of the college were GOC. Maj Gen Masood Aslam 23div It is the fruit of the effort by then GOC 23 div Jhelum.

Principal Malik Muhammad Yousaf

FG college jhelum will never have great principal like him. he was a father like person who used to care about the students and their studies like his own children.

College was started with a very short Teaching and None teaching staff in August 2001 comprising:

                   Professor Malik Muhammad Yousaf (Later Transferred to FG Lahore in 2004 )

                   Mr Nasrulla, Mr. Taufiq (FG School) 
                   (Mr Nassrulla was transferred in 2008 and then FG Liaqat Rawalpindi now he is Serving in Sargodha)

Urdu, Pak St. & Islamiat:

                   Miss Shaizia Gillani ( She left the college in 2004 
                                and now she is at Miltary College Jhelum )

Chemistry:

                   Miss Irram, Mr. Malik Riaz (FG School)  
                     (Both of them left college very shortly )

Biolog:

                   Mr. Shahid Ali   (Transfered to Lahore)

Maths:

                   Mr. Bilal Ahmed  (Got himself transferred to FG Kharian in 2003 and still there)

Physics:

                   Mr Nadia         (Left FG College Jhelum in 2004 and got selected PSC now at Govt Girls College Gujjar Khan)

Computer Science:

                   Mr. Ahmed Fraz    (Left FG College Jhelum in 2008 now in UK )

Clerk:

                   Mr. Naveed Ahmed / Mr. Shareef (Naveed Left FG in 2002 and Mr. Shareef was Transferred to Mangla then to FG 
                                                                                                             Girls School Jhelum)

Naib Qasid

                   Mr. Mumtaz Ahmed (Gulloo) (Transferred to FG Wah )

                   Khan Sahib (was appointed by 23, DIV untill 2003)

and total number of students were 120

College offers intermediate in three major fields of science i.e Pre Engineering, Pre Medical and Computer Sciences. College is affiliated with Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad.
