Eybna Technologies Ltd. is an Tel Aviv-based privately held company specialized in research and mapping of plant components and medicinal properties of cannabis.[3]
History
The company was founded in 2014 in Tel Aviv, Israel by Nadav Eyal and Benjamin Eytan.[4]
In January 2016, the company announced the extraction of natural terpene-based cannabis flavors,[5] without any illegal psychoactive compounds.[6][7]
Products
Eybna produces terpene-based cannabis flavors[8] by isolating the compounds having medicinal properties found in different strains,[9] developed to treat specific conditions.[10] Although illegal for recreational use, cannabis in Israel is legalized for therapeutic use for the past 10 years, thus enabling companies to extract cannabis compounds for around 26,000 patients, who were approved to use cannabis by the Israeli Ministry of Health by 2016.[11][12]
Events
Eybna regularly participates in CannaTech, an annual medical cannabis professionals event hosted in Israel, founded by Karin Kloosterman.[13]
