Exhibition Centre Liverpool is a multi-million pound exhibition and events complex that accompanies ACC Liverpool (alongside the Echo Arena and BT Convention Centre) on the former King's Dock in Liverpool, England.[1]
History
The 8,100m2 exhibition centre was constructed from January 2014 and opened in September 2015.[2] A sky bridge connecting the building to the adjacent BT Convention Centre was completed in September 2015, in turn creating the only purpose built interconnected arena, convention centre and exhibition facility in the UK.[3] During its first year of opening, the Exhibition Centre welcomed more than 113,00 visitors over 100 different exhibitions.[4] In July 2017 Arena management announced that the venue would be available for standing events. Known as 'Space by Echo Arena', the venue can host events for 7,000 standing visitors, double the 3,500 capacity of the Echo Arena.[5]
