Evan William Watkins (July→September 1882[1] – 9 January 1956[2]) was a Welsh rugby footballer who played rugby union for Abertillery and Monmouthshire and rugby league professionally for Warrington. He also played cricket for Monmouthshire.

Playing career

Evan Watkins played rugby union for Abertillery and Monmouthshire.[3] He then joined the professional rugby league, playing for Warrington in 1908.[4] He played cricket for Abertillery Town Cricket Club, Blaina Cricket Club, and Monmouthshire in the Minor Counties Championship between 1909 and 1911,[3] making 6 appearances.[5]

Evan Watkins' marriage to Miriam (née Davies) was registered during January→March 1914 in Llandovery district.[6]
