Eusynthemis nigra is a species of dragonfly of the family Synthemistidae,[2][3] known as the black tigertail.[4] It is a medium-sized dragonfly with black and yellow markings.[4] It inhabits streams in eastern Australia[5][6]
Eusynthemis nigra appears similar to Eusynthemis brevistyla which is found in streams of south-eastern Australia.[4]
