Euan McLaren (born in Paisley, Scotland)[1] is a Scottish rugby union player who is a Stage 3 Scottish Rugby Academy player assigned to Glasgow Warriors. His usual position is at the Tighthead Prop position.
Rugby Union career
Amateur career
McLaren played low-grade rugby in the Middle East where his family were then based.[2] He went to the Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS) in Dubai where he played at U12, U14 and U16 grades for the school team.[3] Moving to Scotland, McLaren then played rugby for Dollar Academy.[4]
He was enrolled in the Scottish Rugby Academy in the 2016-17 season.
Professional career
McLaren graduated to be a Stage 3 player in the BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy.[5] Stage 3 players are aligned to a professional club and given regional support.[6]
International career
McLaren has played for the Scotland U18s[7] and later captained the side.[8]
