Emys is a small genus of turtles. Species assigned to this genus include:[2]
- Emys orbicularis – European pond turtle[3]
- Emys trinacris – Sicilian pond turtle [3][4]
- Emys blandingii – Blanding's turtle [3][5]
- Emys marmorata – Western pond turtle[3]
The two North American species, E. blandingii and E. marmorata, are sometimes separated into their own genera (Emydoidea and Actinemys respectively).[6]
