Empires is the second EP by American deathcore band Within the Ruins. It was released via Innerstrength Records on July 10, 2008.[1] It is the band's first release to feature Jon Grande on vocals, and also Madison Roseberry on bass. Empires marks the final release for the band on Innerstrength Records, as their debut studio album Creature would be released via Victory Records the following year.[2]
Three songs from Empires would be featured on the band's debut studio album Creature; a lengthened version of "Victory", and a shortened version of "Holy Mess", and "Tractor Pull".[3]
Background and production
Empires, like the band's debut studio album Creature, and their fifth album Halfway Human, was produced by Eric Arena at Zing Studios in the band's hometown of Westfield, Massachusetts.[4][5]
