Emily Marie Roeske (born July 15, 1991) is an American actress and martial arts instructor. She is best known for her role as Sophie Piper in the 1998 television film Halloweentown.[1]

Life & Career

Roeske was born on July 15, 1991. She is the youngest child of James Paul Roeske Sr. and Ellie Roeske. She made her film debut in 1998 when she co-starred in 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain with her brother. That same year she was cast in Halloweentown with Kimberly J. Brown and Debbie Reynolds.

In 1999, she appeared on ER, in the episode "Leave it to Weaver". In 2001 she reprised her role as Sophie in the second installment of "Halloweentown" franchise, Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge.

In 2004, she reprised her role as Sophie one last time in Halloweentown High. This would be her final movie. After the completion of the film she decided to retire from acting.[2] The same year Roeske and her brother James received their second degree black belts in American Freestyle Karate at Burbank Family Martial Arts.[3]

Roeske teaches karate at Surprise Family Karate in Surprise, Arizona with her older brother James Paul Roeske ll.[4]
