Emerson Collective
Emerson Collective is an American organization based in Palo Alto, California founded and run by multi-billionaire investor and philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs (the widow of former Apple Inc. chairman and CEO Steve Jobs), whose stated mission is dedicated to removing barriers to opportunity so people can live to their full potential in order to develop and execute innovative solutions that will spur change and promote equality. On 28 July 2017 it became the majority owner of The Atlantic.[1][2][3][4]
Gimlet Media investment
On 1 August 2017, Gimlet Media, the podcasting startup behind the shows StartUp, Reply All and Homecoming, announced that it had raised a new round of $15 million in financing from investors including Stripes Group and Laurene Powell Jobs' Emerson Collective.[5][6]
