Elorza

Elorza is a town in Apure State in Venezuela. It is on the Arauca River located at 07°03′35″N 69°29′48″W / 7.05972°N 69.49667°W / 7.05972; -69.49667Coordinates: 07°03′35″N 69°29′48″W / 7.05972°N 69.49667°W / 7.05972; -69.49667 and is 55 kilometres (34 mi) east of the Colombian border.[1][2]

In August 2001, Venezuela completed a nationwide conversion of land-line phones to three-digit area codes and seven-digit local numbers. Elorza, Mantecal and Bruzual now have the area code 240.
