The Ellis Guilford School & Sports College is a secondary comprehensive school in Bar Lane, Basford, Nottingham. The school provides education for students aged 11–16.
History
The school promotes the belief that that everyone can achieve and work hard to achieve education, guidance and support that is right for them. A new sports hall has been added. It has a variety of sports fields for football, basketball and others. The school also offers numerous after-school activities such as computer and football clubs
Academic performance
The school has won an award for the best school for healthy living in Nottingham. It also holds specialist Sports College status. The broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum provides all of their learners with the opportunities to experience a curriculum that really does meet their needs.
Over the last three years, the school has been rated amongst the top five per cent of similar schools in the country for adding value to children's education.
