Ellen Broselow

Ellen Broselow (born 1949) is an experimental linguist specializing in second language acquisition and phonology. She is currently a Professor of Linguistics at Stony Brook University.[1]

Broselow received her PhD in linguistics from the Department of Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1976.[2]

Broselow's research has focused on what sorts of mistakes second language learners make in perception and production in phonology, as well as loanword adaptation. She is a Fellow of the Linguistic Society of America,[3] and is a former associate editor of the journal Natural Language and Linguistic Theory.[4]
