Ella Kovacs (born 11 December 1964) is a retired Romanian middle-distance runner of Hungarian descent who specialized in the 800 m distance.[4] In 1985 she won the European Indoor Championships, and ran 800 metres in 1:55.68 in June. Later in 1991 she won bronze medals at the World Championships, both indoors and outdoors.[3] She finished sixth at the 1992 Olympics.[1]
