Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino is the mother of four, as well as being a bestselling Hay House author, life coach, and CEO and founder of The Best Ever You Network. She is the author of Percolate: Let Your Best Self Filter Through, published by Hay House Publishing. Guarino primarily teaches lasting, transformative change rooted in gratitude. She has a degree in communications and broadcasting; is a food-allergy expert and anaphylaxis survivor, and is the host of The Best Ever You Show. Guarino has anaphylaxis to peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish and is the co-founder of Food Allergy Zone and is a spokesperson for MedicAlert Foundation and FAACT.[1][2]

Early years

Guarino grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa and attended Pleasant Valley High School. In 1991, she graduated cum laude from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA with a degree in Mass Communications. Guarino was crowned Miss Iowa National Teenager in 1988, Mrs Maine United States in 2006, and Mrs Maine International in 2011, winning the Go Red for Women online vote in 2011.[3][4]

Career

In 2008, Guarino founded The Best Ever You Network, a leading multi-media provider of lifestyle and self-help content. The network is dedicated to helping people across the globe live life to the fullest by being their best. Guarino has written three books, Blueberry – A Cat’s Eye View of Maine, Pinky Doodle Bug and PERCOLATE – Let Your Best Self Filter Through.[5]

Publishers Weekly called PERCOLATE an “ingenious extended coffee metaphor.” [6]

US News and World Report quotes Guarino as saying "smart money decisions start with making a commitment to yourself to be healthy in all areas of your life, including physical, emotional and spiritual, along with financial", and continues by citing that "PERCOLATE encourages use of a "nine-step process to finding your 'best self,' which she <Guarino> calls the 'percolate process,' <which> includes time for reflection, too, and many of her introspective questions can help guide you toward better financial decisions."[7]
